Session Formats

We welcome submissions for three session formats during the on-site portion of the Emerging Pedagogies Summit, November 6-7, 2025, at Duke University.

Panel Session (Research and/or Practice) (45 minutes)

Proposals for Panels may be submitted that include up to three presentations from a shared institutional, organizational, and/or project context (e.g., three panelists each presenting for 15 minutes). Alternatively, proposals may be submitted for a single 15-minute presentation; in this case, accepted proposals will be combined with other presenters during a single session.

Workshops or Design Sprints (45 minutes or 90 minutes)

Workshop or Design Sprint submissions should clearly indicate how presenters will actively integrate audience engagement into the proposed session. For these hands-on sessions, proposals must: a) select either a 45-minute or 90-minute session format; b) outline a corresponding facilitation plan; and c) describe what participants will do and learn.

Lightning Talks (8 minutes)

Accepted 8-minute Lightning Talks will be curated into sessions featuring multiple presenters.
